TechQuarters: The beginning
Chris Dunning launched TechQuarters just as the Cloud Computing phenomenon started to get whispered about by business leaders around the globe. He formerly ran another IT business for 15 years and saw the need for IT services to change. TechQuarters was launched in his spare bedroom, and by the end of the first year we had six engineers helping businesses to migrate to the Cloud and supporting them. TechQuarters provides new style IT services and with the credit crunch hitting, the timing could not have been better for us; they help businesses keep their hard earned cash for their own growth pursuits.
What TechQuarters does:
The core of what TechQuarters does is IT support; they have a name in the industry for being extremely helpful and reliable new style techies. Certainly not out of the old mould of a technical engineer, they are much more switched on, personable and highly motivated to deliver.
Microsoft calls us a ‘Born in the Cloud’ Partner, a name they value greatly. TechQuarters won the ‘Cloud Champion Award’ in 2012, for rolling out their Microsoft Online solutions (specifically Office 365) and guess what? They managed to do it again in 2013.
It initially started out doing single user migrations, but they recently helped the Caroline Chisholm School’s 3,500 users to migrate to the Cloud. Our bread and butter is support, alongside the other IT services we provide:
The TechQuarters team thrives on delivery and success, and Chris’ experience plays a pivotal role in helping us grow. Their highly process driven approach ensures our growth is steady and controlled, and thus they can maintain their high levels of service.
The TechQuarters Team
So, enough business talk. Now to share a few thoughts about our team members, after all, we’re not all robots just doing our day to day tasks. Each one of us, individually, is quite active with weekend pursuits ranging from; stock car racing to climbing mountains on bikes to volleyball matches.
We strive to make our company environment welcoming and fun for new recruits. Being passionate about what we do is a given. We believe that with great results come great rewards. We organise team outings such as go-karting, urban golf, bowling, and dragon boat racing competitions to ensure it’s not “all work and no play”.
Energy and dynamism is essential for this type of business and if you let us be your partner, we’d love to share our enthusiasm with you.
